Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Zeus' Lightning Quest

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is made from volume one entitled The Lightning Thief. The story is still the same as the novel and movie version (2010) starring Logan Lerman and Alexandra Daddario.

Here is the synopsis of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.
The series focuses on Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell), a 12-year-old teenager who feels his life is different from other children his age.

Since childhood, Percy has seen things that others cannot see. Initially, he tells adults about his visions because he wants to know the facts behind them.

Instead of getting answers, Percy was considered to be hallucinating. He was also told to inform the experts about his visions.

Hearing this, Percy finally broke down and chose to remain silent or draw the things he saw. This condition continued to develop until Percy was a teenager and preferred to be alone.

At school, Percy was also considered strange by many other students. He is often bullied, especially by Nancy Bobofit (Olivea Morton).

In this situation, he has one friend, Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri). Grover always accompanied him in every condition, until one day Percy felt betrayed by Grover.

It all started when Percy could no longer stand Nancy's bullying. He had planned to retaliate against all the bullying and tell Grover about it.

On one occasion, Percy accidentally and unknowingly unleashed 'power' on Nancy so that it looked like what he had planned before. Grover did not stand up for him when he was confronted by the school.

This condition made Percy finally expelled from school and made him very disappointed with Grover. He later told all this to his mother, Sally Jackson (Virginia Kull).

However, Percy was again and again surprised by the response of his closest person. Sally at that time immediately took him away without telling him the location of the real destination.

His mother then tells him about falling in love with a god, Percy being a demigod, and Grover appearing in his true form. Everything was done quickly because demigods are never safe in the human world.

That's why Sally immediately brought Percy and Grover to the camp, the only safe place for demigods. There, demigods train to fight and survive the monsters that target them.

Nevertheless, Percy Jackson's life could not be calm when he was in the camp. He was even accused of being the thief of Zeus' lightning.

Not accepting this, Percy tries to find the lightning to clear his name.

He embarks on his first mission to find the missing lightning bolt and return it to Olympus. with Grover, his best friend, and Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries).

The Percy Jackson series comes more than a decade since the movie version aired in 2010. Unlike the movie adaptation made by 20th Century Fox, Riordan and Becky are really involved in the Percy Jackson series this time.

Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson novels, wrote the script for the first two episodes of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series with Jon Steinberg. Meanwhile, the direction was entrusted to James Bobin.

The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series has eight episodes entitled I Accidentally Vaporize My Pre-Algebra Teacher, I Become Supreme Lord of the Bathroom, We Visit the Garden Gnome Emporium, and I Plunge to My Death.

The final four episodes are titled A God Buys Us Cheeseburgers, We Take a Zebra to Vegas, We Find Out the Truth, Sort Of, and The Prophecy Comes True.

The first two episodes of Percy Jackson and the Olympians aired December 20. Meanwhile, the remaining six episodes will be released every week.

The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series airs on Disney+ Hotstar.
